This less visited trek leads us towards west Sikkim along the Indo-Nepal border – through luxuriant rhododendrons, pines, and giant magnolia forests, over green meadows and yak pastures with snow capped peaks in the distance. Along with the moraines of the Onglakhing Glacier and the sacred Samiti Lake, the climb to Goecha la pass is the highlight of this magnificent trek. One can savor the breathtaking scenery of the Talung Glacier and the impressive east face of the third highest mountain in the world, the mighty 8586 meter high Kangchenjunga.
