Jhunglam, which means the middle way in Ladakhi is one of the most adventurous and isolated treks in Ladakh. Far into the mountains through wild and remote valleys the route passes through narrow gorges, high passes and ancient Zanskari villages.
This route was used by Zanskari and Ladakhi traders for centuries in early spring and autumn when the river level in the gorges are low and the heavy snow closes the high passes.
